Jacqueline has won a prize: a flight in the Catalina! Luckily for me, she had to be accompanied by an adult ;-) On September 13th, we drove to the Aviodrome at Lelystad Airport and made a couple of "Splash & Go's" in the Consolidated PBY-5A also known as "Catalina", named "Karel Doorman" with registration PH-PBY.

This video shows the Consolidated PBY-5A "Catalina". It is the oldest (1941) and no doubt most beautiful flying Catalina in the World. The first part of the video show the areal display at the Heldair Air show on September 19th at De Kooy base in Den Helder Netherlands.
